Remember that sales tax vote in Massac County that had just one vote between the no’s and the yes’s?

Well, now there are two.

The Massac County clerk’s office conducted a recount of the ballots yesterday.

The proposed sales tax would have paid for repairs to the Massac County Courthouse.

The official word is it has failed by two votes.
