CENTRALIA, Ill. (WJPF) – A shooting in Centralia has left one person dead.

The Centralia Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the 900 block of Kell Street on April 19, just after 5pm.

Authorities confirmed a 19 year old male was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead and three were taken to the hospital for treatment, but have been released. Centralia Police requested Illinois State Police to conduct the investigation. 

The shooting is believed to be a targeted incident, with no ongoing threat to the public.
