SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WJPF) — Illinois hunters took 306 bobcats during the state’s fourth season of legal hunting.

In addition to the 306 killed by hunters, another 29 were killed by drivers on the road and salvaged.

In southern Illinois Jefferson, Randolph, and Wayne Counties had the most bobcat kills.
