THEBES, IL. (WJPF) – Two people have been killed in a head-on crash near Thebes.

According to State Police, an SUV and pick-up truck collided on Route 3 around 9:00 A.M. Monday. The names of the victims have not yet been released.

Route 3 was closed for about five hours while emergency crews were on the scene.
