Multiple fire departments responded to a fire Friday night in Sesser.

A home on West Florence Street received major damage.

Eyewitnesses say a young man who lived alone in the home was working at a local gas station when the fire broke out.

An electrical cord is being blamed as the cause of the fire.

No injuries were reported.
