The Lawler-Brown law firm has been hired to represent the City of Marion.

The move became necessary when former city attorney Stephen Green was elected Williamson County judge on Nov. 6.

Two Marion-based firms had submitted presentations to the council to become legal counsel, with Lawler-Brown chosen by commissioners.

The city attorney job could change next year, following the April consolidated election. A new mayor and four new commissioners will be elected.
