A preliminary damage survey by the National Weather Service indicates that an EF-0 tornado briefly touched down in Johnston City Thursday Night.

The most severe damage consisted of a couple of garage buildings being destroyed. Another two were blown off their foundations. Several trees were downed and shingles blown off of roofs.
