The Jackson County Board, the City of Carbondale along with the City of Murphysboro and the General John A. Logan Museum are teaming up to commemorate the 150th Observation of Memorial Day in the United States on May 28.

Festivities include:
Memorial Day Program with special guests Gary Ecelbarger amd Brian Ellis, Woodlawn Cemetery, Carbondale, 10 a.m.
Wreath Laying, General John A. Logan Monument, Murphysboro, 12:30 p.m.
Lunch, General John A. Logan Museum, Murphysboro, 1 to 2 p.m.
Book Signing with Daniel Bellware and Dr. Richard Gardiner, General John A. Logan Museum, Murphysboro, 2 to 3 p.m.
Tickets for the luncheon are available now through May 27 at the General John A. Logan Museum, City of Murphysboro Daum Building, 17th Street Bar & Grill, First Mid-Illinois Bank & Trust, Carbondale City Hall and Carbondale Tourism. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for kids 5-12.
