One of the two men involved in the killing of Carbondale musician Tim Beaty has been sentence to 6 ½ years in prison.

23-year-old John Ingram pleaded guilty to a single count of Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm. An investigation determined that Ingram was not the person who fired the fatal shots.

That person was Travis Tyler. Following a jury trial, he was found guilty of First Degree Murder and Aggravated Battery and Discharge of Firearm. Sentencing for Tyler has not yet been set.
