Brian Burns, the Saline County doctor accused of murdering his wife and then attempting to hire someone to kidnap the state’s attorney prosecuting the case against him will appear in court Tuesday.

It’s a status hearing to determine who will represent him in court.

Burns was found guilty on the kidnapping charges back in May.

He will face a jury trial in January 2018 for the murder of his wife, Carla Burns.
