An inmate from the Harrisburg Youth Center has been sentenced to eight years in state prison for assaulting a youth center guard.

18 year old Jaylan Banks entered a plea of guilty on Thursday to the class 2 felony charge of aggravated battery.

Banks was accused of striking corrections officer Jacob Miller in the face while he was in youth center custody.
