A woman was injured after being trapped in a burning home yesterday in Benton.

The fire in the 500 block of North McLeansboro Street was called in shortly before 9 yesterday morning.

Authorities said a neighbor walking by helped the woman remove a screen and exit the home through a window. She was airlifted to a St Louis hospital where she is being treated for burns.
