Carbondale City leaders are considering letting visitors camp at three city parks during the solar eclipse in August.

Council members are considering temporarily allowing camping in Evergreen Park, Parrish Park and the Super Block.

Council members are also discussing allowing visitors to drink outdoors on certain streets in town.

As many as 50,000 tourists are expected to descend on Carbondale for the August event.
