Dr. Jason Henry – the superintendent of Sesser Valier Community Unit District 196 – has been named 2017 Illinois Superintendent of the year.

The award was presented during the Illinois Association of School Administrators conference this weekend in Chicago.

Henry has been an educator for 22 years and has worked in the Sesser-Valier district for 12 years.
