A Massac County Man died after crashing his truck Sunday night.

According to the IL State Police, 26-year old Kelton Smith of Brookport was traveling along Emerson Road when he lost control of his truck and hit a large tree.

Smith was ejected from the vehicle because he was not wearing a seat belt.

Smith was transported to a local hospital where he later died.

Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor to the crash.
