A forum in Carbondale is scheduled for next Monday night and the topic to be discussed is relations between police officers and the community as a whole.

The forum was brought about by a now-defunct program through which Carbondale Police officers were placed in schools so they could read to kids. Community activists were concerned about the implementation of the program.

The forum is slated for Monday at the Carbondale Civic Center at 6 pm.
