The annual “Solar Bear” party was this past weekend in Carbondale. An estimated 1,000 people were said to be in attendance at the height of the event.

27 total citations were issued by Carbondale Police during the event.

19 of those were for underage possession or consumption of alcohol

3 for public alcohol possession

3 for resisting a peace officer

During the arrest of one of the people charged with resisting, bottles and cans were thrown at officers.

Carbondale Police say pepper spray was used to force the crowd surrounding the person being arrested to disperse so the person could be removed.

No one was injured in the incident.
