CARBONDALE, Ill. (AP) — Southern Illinois University has narrowed its search for the school’s new chancellor to four finalists.

All four candidates in the running to replace Interim Chancellor Paul Sarvela include Pam Benoit of Ohio University, Susan M. Ford of SIU, Sabah U. Randhawa of Oregon State University and Lawrence Schovanec of Texas Tech University.

The school has been searching for a new chancellor since Sarvela passed away in November.

All four of them are expected to visit campus in the next few weeks. The school hopes the new chancellor will start before fall semester begins.
