A Murphysboro man is behind bars after robbing a store on Saturday afternoon.

Officers were given a description of the suspect including the color of the shirt the suspect was wearing. During this time, an officer noticed a man who matched the description of the suspect, who was holding a shirt with the same colors in his arm.

42-year old Adrian Harris of Murphysboro was detained and identified as the suspect. Harris was arrested and charged with robbery. A second robbery charge was added as Harris was charged with robbing another store in Murphysboro around 4 am.

Harris is behind bars in the Jackson County Jail pending a court appearance. Harris was also wanted on an outstanding warrant in Clay County on charges of Aggravated Battery with a weapon.
