The Illinois Department of Agriculture on Thursday released the following list of where applications for medical marijuana cultivation center licenses were received. The state plans to award two cultivation center licenses in Cook County where nine total applications were received. The state plans to award one license in every other district except the Downers Grove – Illinois Tollway District.
8 cultivation center applications have been received from District 13, which is Franklin, Jackson, Jefferson, Perry, Randolph, Washington and Williamson counties.
District 19 is Edwards, Gallatin, Hamilton, Saline, Wabash, Wayne and White counties. 3 applications have been submitted there.
7 applications have been submitted there in District 22, which is Alexander, Hardin, Johnson, Massac, Pope, Pulaski, Union counties.
The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation also released Thursday a list of where applicants propose opening medical marijuana dispensaries.
The state plans to award up to 60 dispensary licenses. Some districts will get more than one license.
There are several more dispensary districts in the Chicagoland area than cultivation center districts, but the southern Illinois districts are the same for both.
There are two applications for dispensaries in District 13.
There’s one application in District 19 and one application in District 22.
