In Jackson County, a man is in jail after police say he left the scene of two car accidents.
32-year-old Edward Cassidy was taken into custody early this morning.
Sheriff’s Deputies say they responded to a call shortly before midnight about a 1989 Honda Accord hitting a parked camper trailer on the lot of Miles Motors on Highway 51 and W. Douglas St in DeSoto. A witness saw the suspect flee on foot.
While on the scene, police say another victim in a separate accident came forward and said he was rear-ended by the same vehicle.
Cassidy was found at a home in DeSoto and charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, failure to give notice of an accident, leaving the scene of a vehicle damage accident and driving on an expired license.
