Multiple people were injured after a crash in Jefferson County Saturday night.

According to the Illinois State Police, a Chevrolet pickup being driven by 23-year old Quentin Metje of Ina was heading northbound in IL Rt. 148 when a Dodge Charger being driven by a 16-year old male was approaching the intersection of Rt. 148 and Triton Lane. Metje blew through the intersection and hit the 16-year old’s car.

One person in the Dodge was airlifted to a St. Louis Hospital with major injuries, four others were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Quentin Metje was arrested for DUI and disobeying a traffic control device. Additional charges against Metje are pending.
