A man from West Frankfort will appear in court November 5 on charges that he held his family against their will.
36-year-old Doyle Marion Jr. faces multiple charges, including forcible detention, aggravated domestic battery and aggravated cruelty to animals.
West Frankfort Police Chief Shawn Talluto says a woman told officers Monday she had been beaten by her husband and their family had been held hostage for nearly two days.
Doyle is in Franklin County Jail on $200,000 bond.
