The Marion VFW, Post 1301, along with the City of Marion, invites you to participate in honoring America and the 1.4 million Americans who have sacrificed their lives for America and for each one of us. There will be the posting of the colors, VFW welcome from Commander John Simpson, remarks from Marion Mayor Mike Absher, main address by US Army Pastor Dr. David Gilley and the placing of wreaths commemorating America’s participation in the Revolutionary-Spanish American War all the way to the War on Terror.
