Thursday night Herrin's school board hired Stephanie Allen as their next athletic director, marking the first time the Herrin Athletic Department will be headed up by a woman. Last week, Murphysboro coach Gary Carter met with the voice of the Red Devils, Matt Varney, to take a look at the upcoming 2023 football season.
