The Salvation Army has put out a call for box fans.

People at the charity say they have distributed 40 fans this summer, and there are families without Central Air in Southern Illinois who still need one.

Box fan donations can be dropped off in Marion, Harrisburg, West Frankfort or Du Quoin.
