A man will face a judge next month and will find out how long he will be behind bars after pleading guilty to murdering a Cairo woman.
On Wednesday, 43-year old Christopher Simpkins, also of Cairo, pleaded guilty to the charge of killing 25-year old Gloria Wiggins.
Authorities say Wiggins was beaten to death by Simpkins at a housing complex on Elmwood Street in March of 2015.
His sentencing is scheduled for February 17th.
