Two men are behind bars after police found drugs and a loaded handgun inside a vehicle.

According to Carbondale Police, 31-year old Ronald McConnell of Carbondale and 27-year old Jamal Harris of Chicago were arrested after officers responded to the 600 block of E. Park St. after a report of suspected drug activity.

McConnell was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, cannabis possession with intent to deliver, and no foid card.

Harris was charged with cannabis possession and released on bond.
