JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) – Four people are facing multiple charges after two drug related investigations in Jefferson County.

On May 3 just before midnight, deputies with the sheriff’s office made a stop near the intersection of N. IL Hwy 142 and Tread way Ln in Mt. Vernon.

The driver, 53 year old Michael Clarida of Harrisburg, was arrested.

Just after midnight, deputies made a second stop near the intersection of S. 15th Street and Veterans Memorial Drive. Three people in the vehicle, 29 year old Brianna Pino of Collinsville, 55 year old Timothy Kempf of Collinsville, and 32 year old Kendall Degrave of Cave in Rock were arrested.

A K-9 unit responded to assist at both stops and multiple items of contraband were located and collected as evidence. All four were arrested for Methamphetamine Conspiracy, Pino and Degrave for Methamphetamine Trafficking, Clarida with Possession with intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, and Kempt with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon.

All four were taken to the Jefferson County Justice Center.
