CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) — Carbondale Police are investigating a robbery that occurred in the 1400 block of East Walnut Street.

It happened at approximately 5:35 p.m. Thursday.

Police say the suspect, described as a black male about 5’9” tall and wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, grabbed the victim. A struggle then took place during which the victim’s property was stolen. The suspect then ran on foot.
