CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) — Carbondale Police are investigating a Tuesday  shooting that sent one person to the hospital.

It happened around 8:15 p.m. in the 800 block of North Wall Street.

One of the shots fired hit a nearby residence.

One suspect is described by police as a younger black male, with a medium build and short hair. At the time of the shooting he was wearing a white tee-shirt. The suspect then left the area in white car.
