COLLINSVILLE, Ill. (WJPF) — An Illinois State Trooper has been relieved of duty after being arrested on drug charges.

40-year-old Nolan Morgan of Greenville was arrested Friday on charges of possession and manufacture of a controlled substance.

At the time of his arrest, Morgan has 259 grams of magic mushrooms in his possession, packaged for delivery.

State Police say their investigation started Thursday after they received internal information that Morgan was involved in the possession and manufacturing of drugs at his home.

Morgan has been a state trooper since 2018.
