STEELEVILLE, Ill. (WJPF) — A Steeleville man will spend the next ten years behind bars on gun and drug charges.

34-year-old Kyle Inselmann pleaded guilty to possessing a pair of short-barreled shotguns in furtherance of drug trafficking activities.

In March 2019, police executed a search warrant at Inselmann’s home and found several guns in close proximity to methamphetamine. Two of the guns found were shotguns with barrels shorter than eighteen inches.

Inselmann did not have a license to own the guns and was disqualified from being a firearm owner due to a previous domestic violence charge.
