MARION, IL. (WJPF) – A Northern Illinois woman has been sentenced to two years in state prison on drug charges.

31-year-old Ashley Collins, of Montgomery, pleaded guilty to the felony charge of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance.

According to the Williamson County State’s Attorney’s Office, Collins was arrested by Marion Police in July 2018 after complaints were made about Collins causing a scene in the Rural King parking lot. She was found by police to be in illegal possession of Ritalin.

Collins also has prior convictions out of Northern Illinois for possession of drugs and retail theft.
