More layoffs may soon be coming to SIU.

In a letter sent out to its members late last week, the Association of Civil Service Employees says that there will be at least 8 people represented by the union laid off.

As many as 30 other positions could be in jeopardy as well.

Nearly 80 employees at the university received layoff notices last week.
