Carbondale Police are still searching for a suspect in the armed robbery of the Kroger gas station on North Giant City Road.

It happened in broad daylight Saturday.

Police say that around 2:40 Saturday afternoon, a man handed the gas station attendant a note that demanded money and cigarettes. He inferred he had a handgun in his jacket pocket.

The worker gave the robber an undisclosed amount of money and cigarettes, and the suspect fled on foot.
