West Frankfort Police say they arrested a suspect following a stabbing last week.

It happened during an argument over a property dispute.

Police say 58 year old Charles Hutson of West Frankfort stabbed 64 year old Cary D. Price last Thursday night in the 400 block of East Charles Street.

Price was taken to the hospital for treatment – his injuries were not life threatening.

Hutson is due back in court November 23 for a preliminary hearing.

A Kentucky man has been arrested after a second stabbing incident in West Frankfort.

Police Chief Shawn Talluto says 55 year old Terry W. Young of Kentucky was stabbed multiple times on Wednesday in the 1000 block of West Main Street in West Frankfort.

Thursday, police arrested 30 year old Lance Munsell of Kentucky in that case. He is charged with aggravated battery.

Young was taken to Deaconness Hospital in Evansville for treatment of non life threatening injuries.

Police say the suspect and the victim in this case knew each other. Sources said the two men were part of a construction crew working in the area and staying at a West Frankfort motel.
