Food trucks may be available for hungry people in Carbondale in the near future.

The Carbondale City Council approved an ordinance at last night’s meeting allowing food trucks in certain parts of the city, which are also public property.

Councilman Lee Fronabarger was the only dissenting vote, due to the inclusion of the town square area where several businesses already operate.

The food trucks will be subject to Jackson County Health Department regulations.
