PEORIA, Ill. (AP) — Attorneys for former Illinois congressman Aaron Schock say they have reached an agreement with federal prosecutors on documents currently under review by a federal judge.

The Journal Star in Peoria reports (http://bit.ly/1LDQird) Schock’s attorneys say in a letter filed Wednesday with the court that both sides agree the Peoria Republican has complied with two federal subpoenas by handing over previously contested documents.

The U.S. attorney for central Illinois on Friday did not immediately respond to messages seeking comment.

Schock was issued a grand jury subpoena seeking campaign and congressional records the day before he resigned his Illinois congressional seat in March. A second subpoena issued contended he hadn’t complied with the first.

Schock resigned after reports questioning his spending, including global travels and the decorating of his Capitol Hill office.
