A Carbondale man has been sentenced to prison time for two separate cases.

32-year old Tony Johnson was found guilty of Aggravated Battery to a Carbondale Police Officer and Disorderly Conduct for threatening to shoot a Carbondale business owner. Johnson also pled guilty to a separate offense of Aggravated Battery for kicking and hitting an inmate while both were being held in the Jackson County Jail.

Johnson was sentenced to three years in a state prison for the charge of Aggravated Battery of a Police Officer, which is a Class 2 Felony. Four years in a state prison for the charge of Aggravated Battery, Causing Great Bodily Harm, which is a Class 3 Felony. Johnson is currently serving two years in a state prison for resisting a police officer, causing injury to that officer.
