A contract approval has ended a lockout at the Honeywell Metropolis plant which has lasted since August.

Both Honeywell and Union members reached a tentative deal last week.

The union gave the contract approval Friday afternoon. Union workers will have to be re-trained and re-certified by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

The plant has been shut down since January, but is expected to resume operations in April.
