FRANKLIN CO.- Illinois school administrators are coming up with their own plan on changing how their schools are being run. They state that Illinois clearly had no master plan, so they’ve come up with “Illinois Vision 20/20/”.

Sesser-Valier superintendent Jason Henry says the plan for change began in July of 2012 and it’s main themes are: highly effective educators, shared accountability, 21st Century learning, and equitable and adequate funding.

Illinois Vision 20/20 already has the attention of Governor Bruce Rauner. He stated in his inaugural address on Monday the plan would put more directly into the classrooms, reform the education bureaucracy, roll back costly mandates, and give more students access to good schools.

Some schools that already support Illinois Vision 20/20 include areas like Herrin and Crab Orchard among others.
