A Carbondale man who is charged with hitting a bicyclist with his car has waived his right to a preliminary hearing.

22-year old Seth Loyd of Carbondale is charged with two counts of aggravated DUI resulting in death and two counts of reckless homicide, among other charges.

Loyd allegedly drove his car off the road near the intersection of East Walunt Street and South Bigler Road, where he struck 33-year old Matthew Dierker, who later died from his injuries.

Loyd has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

No date has been set for a jury trial.
