Screen Shot 2014-05-21 at 11.27.19 AMTwo Murphysboro men are behind bars after two separate arrests for the same offense on Thursday night.

The first arrest was at 6:38 pm when Murphysboro Police conducted a traffic stop and found that the driver, 27 year old Jermaine Davis of Murphysboro was driving on a suspended license. Davis was taken into custody, and was unable to post bond. Davis was taken to the Jackson County Jail shortly thereafter.

Later on in the night, at 8:17 pm Murphysboro Police conducted a traffic stop, and found that the driver, 45 year old Kevin Ellis of Murphysboro was not only driving on a suspended license, but also driving without insurance. Unlike Davis, Ellis was able to post bond and was released from custody shortly thereafter.
