Franklin County authorities are searching for a man and woman as persons of interest in a double murder that occurred yesterday.
Michael Anthony Schallert and Afton Ferris are being sought for questioning in the murder of two women. Police were called to the scene shortly after 2:00 Monday afternoon.
West Frankfort Police says the bodies of 32-year-old Terri Ann Siereck and 28-year-old Kandis Majors were found Monday afternoon in their home at 213 North Douglas Street.
Schallert and Ferris are originally from Wyoming, and may have already left southern Illinois. They are believed to be driving a 2003 tan Chevy impala tag number G893639.
