Murphysboro Police Department and Jackson County Sheriff’s Office have arrested another subject for Child Pornography.
Amanda Bastien 25 is the third subject to be charged. Bastein is the girlfriend of Jason Browder who was the first to be charged in the case.
Bastien’s residence was searched on May 7, after a Jackson County Judge issued a search warrant. Bastien’s computer was seized at the time and a preliminary investigation was conducted revealing images and videos of a pornographic nature. Several of the subjects depicted in the images and videos are suspected to be well under the age of 18 and of a pornographic nature.
An arrest warrant was issued for Bastien and she was incarcerated in the Jackson County Jail with a bond of $500,000.00. Bastien will appear in court in the near future.
The investigation into this matter continues, and further arrests are expected.
