McDaniel Chosen For Open City Council Position

Carbondale has a new city council member.

The city council picked Corene McDaniel at last night’s meeting. She is a former city council member, serving for 12 years before deciding not to run for re-election last year.

The council seat was open due to Don Monty’s resignation. He gave up the seat to take on the acting mayor role for Joel Fritzler.

Both Monty and McDaniel will hold their positions until May of next year.
