Man Sentenced For Shooting Gun, Sparking Deadly Shooting Flurry
In Jackson County, a man will see two years in prison for reckless discharge of a firearm in an incident where a man died.
23-year-old Ronald Sanders was sentenced to prison time for the incident in July. He fired a shot near a home on East Jackson Street in Carbondale after being asked to leave a party. Numerous other shots were fired afterwards, killing 32-year-old Donathan Brown.
Police are still investigating the circumstances around the shooting. They could not confirm the shot Sanders fired killed Brown.
