Man Charged With Animal Cruelty

In Williamson County, a man is accused of shooting his neighbor’s eight-month-old puppy twice.

Police say 35-year-old Joshua Bean is charged with a misdemeanor count of animal cruelty. He is accused of shooting the dog on Dublin Street in Stiritz around 7:30 Tuesday night.

Bean reportedly says he shot the dog in self-defense. The dog’s back legs were injured but he is still alive.

A court appearance for Bean is pending.
