Mayor's Son Appears In Court On Weapons Charge

A MEMBER OF THE PERRY COUNTY SHERRIFF’S OFFICE AND PICKNEYVILLE SCHOOL BOARD APPEARED IN COURT YESTERDAY FOR A FELONY WEAPONS CHARGE.

NATHAN KELLERMAN WAS FORMALLY CHARGED WITH ONE COUNT OF UNLAWFUL USE OF A WEAPON AND ONE COUNT OF AGGRAVATED ASSAULT.

PROSECUTORS SAY KELLERMAN POINTED A .32 CALIBER PISTOL AT ANOTHER MAN OUTSIDE OF THE EAGLES LODGE AND THE MOOSE LODGE IN PINCKNEYVILLE DURING THE EARLY MORNING HOURS OF NEW YEARS DAY.

ANOTHER CHARGE COULD BE ADDED. KELLERMAN’S LAWYER HAS FILED A MOTION SAYING THE CHARGE VIOLATES KELLERMAN’S SECOND AMENDMENT RIGHTS.
